Robert F. “Bob” Carter, age 72 of Amarillo died Saturday, February 9, 2013.
The family will hold a Celebration of Life Memorial service and have requested that anyone wanting that information to contact them personally. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur.
Bob was born October 3, 1940 in Clayton NM to Fred and Martha Carter. He married Serena Lynch in 1981.
Bob loved the outdoors and loved life! He was adventurous and not afraid of a challenge. As a young man, he loved breaking horses and as an adult, he loved being on the road. He drove a truck for most of his adult life. He loved people and never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Gene Carter and a sister, Faye Schultz.
Robert is survived by Serena, his wife of 32 years; a daughter, Cindy and husband Randy Baker; a son Gerald Carter and partner Doug Dean, all of Amarillo; 3 sisters, Mary Waller, Marlyn Woody and Dawn Walton; four grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and his beloved side-kick “Puddles”, his Shih Tzu.
