Robert, (Bob) William Exner Jr., 84, passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2026, in Amarillo, Texas. Born on August 21, 1941, in Trenton, New Jersey. Bob lived a life marked by dedication, service, and love for his family and community.

A proud veteran, Bob retired as a Master Sergeant after 20 years of honorable military service. His commitment to serving others extended beyond his military career as he became an active member of his church and a devoted supporter of the Salvation Army. Bob’s faith and generosity were central to his life, and he was known for his unwavering dedication to helping those in need.

Bob had a passion for Mustangs and was an enthusiastic member of the Mustang Club. His love for these iconic cars brought him joy and camaraderie with fellow enthusiasts. Whether through his hobbies or his acts of service, Bob left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

He is survived by his two sons: Brad Arthurs (Phyllis) of Louisville, Kentucky, and Gary Arthurs (Patty) of Dothan, Alabama. He also leaves behind three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory and carry forward his legacy. Bob was the godfather to Lisa Nunemaker (nee Walker), and is survived by close family friends John and Sandy Walker, Lisa's husband Kevin, and their two children.

Bob was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 56 years, Helen, and his mother, Irene. Their memories remained close to his heart throughout his life.

Bob’s kindness, strength, and inspirational presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his passing.

Memorial services will be held March 9th at 11 am at the First Christian Church sanctuary, 3001 Woflin Ave, Amarillo Tx.
