Beyond his hobbies and interests, Robert was deeply dedicated to his work and his community. He served as a custodian for Bushland ISD for 40 years, where he became a beloved figure among students and staff alike. His care, kindness, and quiet devotion left a lasting impact on the lives he touched.
Robert’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Robert is preceded in death by both his parents, brother Dr. Ronald Fortner, and niece Rebecca Fortner.
