Samuel Gonzales was born on June 1, 1940 in Tucumcari, New Mexico to Joe and Lucy Gonzales. He has been a resident of Amarillo since 1957. He worked for Rock Island Railroad for several years until his retirement. He loved football, was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and had a great sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-Jeffery Gonzales and a brother-Max Gonzales.
SURVIVORS: 1 Daughter – Rebecca Gonzales; 6 Sisters – Helen L. Garcia of Yukon, OK, Dorothy Jimenez of Amarillo, TX, Corine Sisneros of Amarillo, TX, Bernice Martinez of Tucumcari, NM, Mary L. Garcia of Amarillo, TX and Debra Ann Jennings, also of Amarillo, TX; 1 Brother – James Victor Gonzales of Amarillo, TX and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son-Jeffery Gonzales and a brother-Max Gonzales.
