On June 14, 2024, we bid farewell to a cherished Sara Ramos, whose journey began in New Castle, Texas. Born to the loving embrace of Basilio and Porfiria Reyes Villanueva, Sara's path eventually led her to Amarillo, Texas, where she graced the community for 22 meaningful years.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, June 16, 2024, from 1 pm to 5 pm at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home's chapel on Monday, June 17, 2024, at 10 am. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery.
Sara found solace and joy in the simple moments spent with her beloved family, coming together in warm gatherings that held a special place in her heart. Her nurturing spirit extended not only to her family but also to the array of houseplants meticulously cared for. She especially enjoyed family gatherings and celebrations where she would be found snapping pictures to capture the moments in time. In quieter times, amidst the pages of seek-and-find books or immersed in colors as she colored, Sara found moments of tranquility. Above all, her cherished devotionals provided her with comfort and guidance, embodying the values she held dear.
In remembrance of Sara, we honor her unwavering spirit as she reunites with those who went before her: her parents Basilio and Porfiria (Reyes) Villanueva, her husband Emilio O. Ramos, brothers Joel Villanueva, Ruben Villanueva, Ray Villanueva, Francisco Villanueva, and sister Lydia Alaniz. Left to cherish her memory are her brother Ramon Villanueva, son Gerardo Ramos, daughter Noemi R. Garcia and husband Guadalupe, along with 8 grandchildren; David J. Garcia, Cryston D. Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Nancy Jurado, Maegan N. Hernandez, Gerardo Garcia, Joaquin E. Garcia, y Talitha cumi Garcia; and 11 great-grandchildren who carry forth her legacy of love and strength.
As we reflect on Sara's life brimming with simple joys and profound connections with family, may we find comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in each life she touched—a gentle reminder of enduring love and boundless grace.
