Sharon Ruth Cook
November 27, 1959 — July 30, 2017
Sharon Ruth Cook, 57, of Amarillo, passed away peacefully at home on July 30, 2017 with her loving husband and son by her side.
Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at Victory Church, 6300 Arden Rd., with Pastor David Brown officiating. Cremation arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur.
Sharon was born on November 27, 1959 in Pampa to John Cook Sr and Mary (Klyce) Cook. Sharon attended schools in Pampa. She was one of the most caring people you would ever meet. Although she only had two biological children, there were many more that called her mom. Sharon loved to bake and cook as well as take care of others. She wanted to know everyone was happy.
Sharon was preceded in death by her brother, John Cook Jr in 2013 and step-father Tom “Big Daddy” Dreiling in 2016.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Allen Whitson of Amarillo; one daughter, Sara Silva and husband Jeremy of Justin, TX; one son, Matthew Cook of Amarillo; her mother, Mary Dreiling of Wheeler; her father, John Cook Sr of Pampa; one sister, Sue Chandler and husband Brad of Wheeler; one grandson, Braxton Maul of Justin; along with nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
