Sherry Ann Garza

Sherry Ann Garza, 71, of Amarillo, passed peacefully in her home on September 24, 2025 surrounded by her beloved family.

Per Sherry’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.

Sherry was born on January 13, 1954, in Pampa, Texas to Dennis and Dorothy Louise (Mackie) Stafford. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Pampa for many years and absolutely held God and Jesus at the center of her life. Sherry worked for Levi Strauss for many years and finished her working life as a server in the hospitality industry before retiring.

Sherry was the life of the party and could make anyone laugh or cover their ears, there was never really an in between. She loved the Dallas Cowboys through the ups and downs, and watched them no matter what. Sherry was an amazing mother, great aunt, and overall wonderful person. Her light will be missed by all those who were blessed to know her.

Sherry is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert Garza, her parents, Dennis and Dorothy; and her stepfather, Walker Bird. Those left to cherish her memories are her daughter, April Rogers (Jonathan Nickels), sisters, Terry Murray and Teresa Stafford, brother, Tony Stafford (Phyllis); nieces and nephew, Tiffany Kirkpatrick (Nathan), TJ Stafford (Caitlin), and Amber Weir (Jeremy); as well as many great-nieces and nephews, extended family, and cherished friends.
