Silvia Dowd was unexpectedly called home on Tuesday afternoon, February 28th at the age of 55. She was preceded in death by her Father, Theron Gossett. Left behind are her Son – Bobby, Mother – Elsie, Sister-Barbara, Niece – Christy (Husband David), Nephews – Ricky and & Neal, Great Nieces – Crystal (husband Russell) and Sara, Great Nephew – Christopher, and her best friend Gwen Reid. Her nieces, nephews and sons fondest childhood memories of her are of staying up late, singing the teddy bear song that she taught them. Silvia loved music and could play the piano, organ. Guitar,12 string, and banjo. Silvia formerly owned Country Consignment and Gifts in Pampa Texas, and Special Dayz Photography and was a member of the Pampa Chamber of Commerce. Silvia’s true passion was photography. She would spend hours and hours photographing anything and everyone that would let her. Rarely seen without her camera, she strived to learn every new technique she could find and excelled quickly in her craft. Silvia was known by many in Pampa and the surrounding towns. Silvia was very popular on community FB pages and though she had not met many of her friends, their friendship was cherished and appreciated. She was most widely known for her contagious uplifting laugh, sense of humor, compassion, and mostly for her generosity. Silvia was notorious for giving away more than she ever sold at her Thrift store and she conducted many fundraisers, food drives and bake sales to help her friends and anyone in need. Her generosity will be remembered for many years to come.

Oh, please don’t feel guilty
It was just my time to go.
I see you are still feeling sad,
And the tears just start to flow.
We all come to earth for our lifetime,
And for some it’s not many years.
I don’ want you to keep crying
You are shedding so many tears.
I haven’t really left you,
Even though it may seem so.
I have just gone to my heavenly home,
And now I’m closer to you than you know.
Just believe that when you say my name,
I’m standing next to you.
I know you long to see me,
But there’s nothing I can do.
But I’ll still send you messages
