Thelma Lindsey, 83, of Amarillo, died on Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Amarillo.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, December 7, 2016 in Llano Cemetery with Pastor T.C. Messer of Harvest Time PCG officiating. Arrangements by Angel Funeral Home; 2209 S. Arthur; Amarillo, TX 79103.
Mrs. Lindsey was born on December 10, 1932 in Ambrose, Georgia to Colonel Washington and Ruby Lee Corbitt. She married Benjamin Walter Lindsey II on April 27, 1949 in Pearson, Georgia. She will be remembered for crocheting baby blankets and afghans for everyone. She was an avid reader. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was a Christian.
She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; two sisters; two brothers; and one grandson.
Thelma is survived by three daughters, Sue Alford of Grand Prairie, Mary Lindsey of Ft. Worth, and Linda Polk and husband Pat of Amarillo; two sons Benjamin Walter Lindsey III and wife Patricia of Aztec, NM, and Colonel Wayne Lindsey of Anchorage, Alaska; 10 grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-7:00 PM Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at the funeral home.
