Winnie Ruth Staff

Winnie Ruth Staff, 68, of Amarillo passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on August 11, 2025.

The family is planning a “Hippy Party” to celebrate Winnie’s life at a later date. Please check back for the date, time, and location.

Winnie was born on February 12, 1957, in Turkey, Texas to Walton C. and Marie Johnson. She was a self-proclaimed Hippy and had a love for life unlike anyone you would ever meet.

Winnie is preceded in death by her parents, Slick, Marie, and Mary Beth; and grandson Landon McGinnis. Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Craig, children, Shawnee, Robert, and Matthew, grandchildren, Josey, Haley, Michael, Sydnie, Blake, Shane, and Marley, and great-grandchildren, Titan, Valor, and Ja’Lei; as well as sister, Donna Sue Tempie, and many extended family and friends.
