Aileen Berry was born December 3, 1922, and died June 8, 2012.
She attended Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas, and San Marcos Teacher’s College. On October 1, 1943, she married John Berry, and they were married for 52 years and had two children, Cindy and Chip. They lived in Oklahoma City for 48 years and were avid OU fans, holding season tickets for 32 years. She loved to fish and to travel. She was an avid reader and read a book a week most of her life. Following the death of her husband, she moved to Amarillo to be close to family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and son, Chip. She is survived by her daughter, Cindy Wilson and son-in-law, Mike of Amarillo; four grandsons, Brad Howard and wife, Nicole, of Amarillo, and their family, Luke Wes, Grey and Mitchell; Brent Howard and wife Mary, of Amarillo, and their family, Zachary, David, and Mark; Brian Howard and wife, Stephanie, of Wichita, KS, and their family, Chace, Cade, Zach, Andrew, and Emily; Barry Howard and wife, Suzanne, of Albuquerque, NM, and their family, John Sebastian, Milan, and Phineas; and step-granddaughter, Michele Bode and husband, Don, of Amarillo.
Services will be held at a later date.
