Eugene Coleman, Sr.

Eugene Coleman, Sr. 60, of Amarillo died June 14, 2021.

Eugene will be available for viewing from 10:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m., Friday, June 25, 2021 at Angel Funeral Home, 2209 S. Arthur. Funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, June 26, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Crosbyton Cemetery in Crosbyton, TX. Arrangements are by Angel Funeral Home.

“Eugene Coleman, Sr. was every inspiration to me and others though it was hard times throughout his life, he always managed to fight and keep his head above water. In my father, I found a friend. I knew if there was anything I needed, he would do his best for me even in the last moments of his life, my dad fought to be here for us. He wanted to make up for lost time, and in the little moments, spent nothing was more precious, more meaningful, more courageous than seeing the same man I knew and grow to love even more. You rest in peace now Dad. We love you forever and you will always be in our hearts.”

He is preceded in death by his parents, Sam Espa Coleman and Sarah R. Coleman; brothers, Kennedy Coleman and Sam S. Coleman; and sister, Willie C. Coleman.

Eugene is survived by 3 sons, Jackie Eugene Coleman, Eugene Coleman, Jr., and Adrian Coleman; 5 sisters, Sarah Wiley, Mary J. Atwine, Bernice Coleman, Bobbie Mae Coleman, and Cherie Coleman; 3 brothers, Charlie Butler, John Wesley Coleman, and Jo Coleman; and 19 grandchildren.
