Margarita Hernandez was born in Amarillo, Texas, January 14th, 1953, to Amada and Marcelino Zamarripa. She was raised by her single mother and was very close to her sisters. She began working hard in the fields at a very young age. Although she only went to fifth grade, she was extremely intelligent. As a young lady she enjoyed dancing and was very innovative and creative.
Her character was one of a hardworking, funny, vivacious, determined, strong woman. She enjoyed being outside, watching movies, camping, traveling, shopping, yard sales, cooking, and eating delicious food. She was a wonderful cook. She loved her Lord Jesus, her beautiful family, and her beloved pets. She never failed to offer advice and love to anyone.
Margarita was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, and three sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Ignacio Hernandez; three daughters: Flavia Garcia and her husband Natividad, Leticia Zamarripa and her husband Recardo, and Jamie Zamarripa; as well as one son, Jimmy Guevara, and his wife Zelene; three sisters; grandchildren; great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
